Dr. Stephen Pohan and his wife, Simone, made the life-changing decision to move to Tasmania 20 years ago, drawn by the beauty of the island and a desire to build both a family and a dental practice. They planted their roots in Devonport, where Dr. Pohan established a successful general dental practice, caring for patients with the warmth and expertise that would become his hallmark.

As their family grew, so did their dreams. Eight years ago, the Pohan’s relocated to Launceston, ensuring their children could complete their final years of schooling at Launceston Grammar. It was here that a new chapter began. After recently selling his general practice, Dr. Pohan turned his focus entirely to Orthodontics, his true passion. And so, Ivory Orthodontics was born.

But this journey isn’t one taken alone. Our Practice Manager, Catherine, has been by Dr. Pohan’s side for 15 years, bringing an incredible depth of knowledge and a guiding hand to both our team and our patients. Every member of Team Ivory has been handpicked, not just for their skills, but for their heart. We believe in creating a welcoming, friendly, and family-oriented atmosphere, where every patient feels at home from the moment they walk through our doors.
